Update: Vista Anthracite v 1.21 has been updated. It's a minor installer update.

This pack has not only Visual Style itself, but an Icon Patcher that can modify the standard XP Icons, BMPs and AVIs into the modern Vista Style.

All the images used in the logon sample were used in an alphabetical order and are copyrighted by their respectable owners.

Do not install this theme... whatever the installation does, specifically with regards to setting a system restore point, has caused a number of errors. It also creates a forced entry in the auto-run that applies the theme on reboot, rather than just letting you pick it manually, and when you uninstall, it resets you back to the XP default theme forcibly.

Furthermore, some applications (two Java apps, and one older Windows) have completely stopped working after uninstalling. It appears that this somehow affected, or broke, the theming engine which prevented Java from using native Windows themes. All of these apps were working immediately prior to installation, as I closed them before installing. I can only now run the Java apps if I reset them to use the old Java interface rather than Windows themes, and the other Windows App (Simply Accounting) doesn't even run at all anymore.

Do not install this theme. I would highly recommend that anyone posting themes should always provide a plain zipped version of their files, and let people figure it out on their own, rather than releasing a self-installing exe. You may think you're being helpful, but unless you have the resources available to you to fully understand how Windows installations work, don't pretend to know what you're doing.

Anyway...
say thank you to auther and Hope can again renew
:iconnekh-art-studio:
Not really. You can select which option you would like to install.
Just select the visual style itself, that's all.
:iconnekh-art-studio:
It's all up to you.
Sorry, but there are not any Java applications at all, anyway it's you own choice to install it or not.

So, I totally agree that it will be more useful to have a zipped version of any stuff, I myself prefer it too, but you should consider that this stuff was made for not so expiriensed users like you. The most of _common_ people not so advanced in computing, like you, and simply can't install a zipped version of visual style by themselves. Don't forget about them.

Vice versa, any advanced one can simply extract any stuff from any archive, right?
:iconnekh-art-studio:
Thank you, Echo, for your kind words.
Hope too.
So, please, report any troubles you have using it,
, in details, including your Windows version, language and local settings, etc.

It's the only way to make things better.
